Based on the January 1, 2017 ownership, taxes are due and payable the following year in two equal installments. The 2018 Jackson County property tax due dates are May 10, 2018, and November 13, 2018.
The Treasurers Office will Closed on Monday, November 12, 2018 in Honor of Veterans Day.
We will reopen on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 8:00 am.
Tax bills are mailed once a year with both installments remittance slips included, Spring and Fall. No Reminder billing will be submitted for the Fall installment. Payments must be received or federally postmarked by the deadline to avoid penalties.
Payments are considered timely if they are:
- Received in the treasurer's office by closing on the deadline date
- Received in the drop box located at the back entrance of courthouse (Sugar Street) by midnight on the deadline date
- Federally postmarked by deadline and mailed to:

Payments made in the treasurer’s office must be in the form of cash, check, money order, or cashier's check. Credit card payments are accepted online or by calling (800) 809-5849. They accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, and there is a 2.95% processing fee.
