Auditor's Office
The Office of the Auditor is a constitutional office and has several different duties, including:
- Serving as a secretary to the Board of County Commissioners and the clerk to the County Council
- Keeping accounts and issuing checks for the county (the Board of Commissioners, the Council, and other officials often look to the auditor for day-to-day operational assistance, information, and advice)
- Coordinating tax collection and distribution
- Serving as the county comptroller
- Keeping up-to-date information on the transfer of property
