What are the requirements to get a marriage license?
--Cost is $18.00
--Both applicants must appear together in person
--A certified birth certificate, a valid operator's license or other identification issued by a state that contains the individual's date of birth and current address. (IC 31-11-4-6)
--At least one applicant must be a resident of Jackson County
--Both applicants must be 18 years or older.
--If younger than 18 years of age, call 812-358-6117 for more information
--Marriage license is good for 60 days.
